Marketing and Community Donor Relations Coordinator Position

We are looking for a highly effective professional who can develop and deliver our Marketing and Community Donor Relations strategies for the Radio Station.

This highly regarded non-profit Christian Media Radio Station is located in Geelong and broadcasts to the fast-growing region of Greater Geelong, Wyndham, the Bellarine, the Surf Coast, and beyond via our growing online presence.

We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing and Community Donor Relations Coordinator to join our small team. This is a new role recently created for the station and one that you could make your own.

We are looking for someone who has been in a similar position, a strategic and creative thinker, bringing life to the activities and programs needed including campaigns and coordination of marketing staff. Success in this role will be achieved by working collaboratively across teams, seeing the bigger picture, and working together focusing on sound biblical teaching and a Christian worldview and practice.

This role is responsible for:

  • The development and delivery of marketing, communications, and community strategies aligned to the business strategy.
  • Brand awareness, including communications and fundraising
  • Market research – on market content to reach new and existing audiences
  • Coordinate digital channel activities including, website, media, and marketing to ensure effective promotion of our Brand and key communications.
  • Partnering with organisational associations and teams to leverage quality services and content through system and content efficiencies.
  • Define target audiences and communication mediums.
  • Oversee processing of donations and track campaign donations.
  • Partner, Influence and collaboration with partner associations across the Christian media landscape.
  • Providing leadership and mentoring to the marketing team and volunteers
  • Responsible for the development of the marketing team.
  • Recruitment/identify potential talent who may assist our operations in a volunteer capacity.

  • Attending training and development programs as required
  • Complying with 96Three’s policies and procedures, broadcasting authorities and regulator standards, relevant legal and ethical standards, including accountability, ethical practice and workplace health and safety
  • Contributing to a positive culture, promoting the safety and well-being of all employees
  • Other tasks as directed by management.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone with experience in a similar position.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or PR
  • Previous workplace experience presenting on radio or television.
  • Experience in designing creative marketing plans and activities that deliver on campaign and /or fundraising objectives, with a limited budget across media platforms
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies.
  • Confident relationship builder across board stakeholder groups
  • Sound understanding of community and stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of social impact including outcomes
  • Advanced skill in leadership, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent application of digital media, competent with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, WordPress, Meta, and CRM databases.
